Compliance failures. How exposed are you?

A pandemic of counterfeit PPE

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a rise in counterfeit Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products appearing on the market with misleading performance and quality claims and fake documents of compliance.

What if you could reduce the hidden risk of non-compliant PPE? Many companies are now tasking suppliers to provide evidence of due diligence and conformity and upskilling to identify false compliance certificates.

What are you doing to ensure your suppliers are meeting their obligations under new legislation during this global crisis?

UKCA: The replacement for the CE mark

On the 31 December 2020, all European Harmonised Standards that provide a presumption of conformity to EU laws became ‘UK designated standards’ in Britain.

The new UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) mark will replace CE marking in Britain. For more information please see our Expert Advice Sheet.

Please note that this is an administrative process only and therefore, there are currently no changes to testing and review criteria or processes.

This means some CE marked and future UKCA marked PPE could be non-compliant, putting wearers businesses and individuals at risk.

How Arco can help

We conduct ongoing due diligence testing on all our own-brand PPE using our in-house UKAS accredited testing laboratory and a rigorous 5-stage assurance process.

We can also help you identify non-compliant and falsely certified PPE. Some customers have identified that up to 90% of the PPE entering their supply chains from new suppliers during the pandemic is falsely documented. All fields are mandatory.

Arco takes your privacy seriously and we will only use your personal information to contact you in relation to the completion of this online questionnaire and your personalised report. From time to time, we would also like to contact you with further insights into the PPE equipment industry as well as sending relevant product information and market news.
